Class description
We’ll start on the floor, using a combination of improvisation and set material to generate warmth and teach our bodies to partner the ground with ease and fluidity. Once standing, we’ll focus on blending flowing and counter-intuitive articulations of the limbs and spine, along the way building a dynamic relationship to balance and challenging our qualitative range. We'll end with a phrase for the dancer in you that is hungry for the sensuousness of spirals, knows how to “work it,” and likes to eat space… alive.

Experience required for the participants
This class is geared toward intermediate-advanced to advanced level dancers.

Class goals
To feed ourselves with attention, sweat, loving kindness, and delicious movement.

Teaching Goals
I’m interested in teaching dance because I think creative, physical play nurtures healthy, dynamic humans. To this end, I attempt to offer a movement practice of rigor, novelty, and exploration. I measure success in the sparkling of bodies, minds, and hearts at the end of class.
