About Rachel. |
Rachel Rinehardt attained her BFA in Dance & Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2014. Prior to attending VCU, Rachel studied at the Village Dance Studio and Henrico High School, Center for the Arts. She attended the American Dance Festival in 2012, where she worked with Trebien Pollard (Erick Hawkins and PILOBOLUS) and Paul Matteson (David Dorfman and Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane). In the summer of 2013, Rachel attended Bates Dance Festival, where she performed an original work by Doug Varone. At VCU, Rachel performed in various student works as well as works by Martha Curtis, Christian von Howard, and Autumn I. Proctor. She also had the pleasure of working with guest artists Kate Weare and Nathan Trice. Rachel has performed with Ground Zero Dance since 2010 in new and repertory works by Rob Petres, Kat Legault, Pam England, and Victoria Fink. She had the honor of having six of her works presented by Dogtown Dance Theatre in the First Annual Richmond Dance Festival. Currently, she performs with Johnnie Cruise Mercer and TheREDProject and is the co-artistic director of Movement House.
