I wish for my participants to become familiar with a spectrum of structures. To sense, as we move, where we are on that spectrum. To sense what the instructions do and do not cover. An obvious given is the body: what is its potential based on innate ability, talent, past training, temper, and this moment’s degree of readiness?

Kari Williams is originally from Brooklyn NY. Her work is rooted in classical dance combined with current contemporary styles. For many years, she was a dancer and assistant to Frank Hatchett. Williams served as the Dance Director of Moore Catholic High School’s Performing Arts Institute from 2005-2012. She founded her own dance school and company in 2007, and has maintained an active teaching and directing career ever since. In 2011, Ms. Williams was featured in Dance Studio Life Magazine for the creation of a “Revolutionary Recital”. In 2012, she was offered a position as an Adjunct Professor of Dance at Wagner College in the Musical Theatre Performance Majors program. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Dance Education at NYU Steinhardt.
