About Brianna |
Brianna Taylor is a Brooklyn based dance artist and educator. Her work explores intersections between movement, language, sound and objects, and actively investigates the practice of improvisation. Taylor is the founder and artistic director of Confluence Performance Project, a multi-disciplinary performance group. In NYC she collaborates with Melanie Greene, and performs with Rachel Thorne-Germond and Rebecca Lloyd Jones. She is a member of the multi-media experimental performance ensembleCollapss based in Greensboro, is a former company member of Onye Ozuzu's Skeleton Dance Project and The Mensah brothers West African dance ensemble Logo Ligi, and has performed with many independent choreographers around the United States and in Ghana, West Africa. Taylor taught as an adjunct professor at several North Carolina universities, and currently teaches yoga and dance to students of all ages around NYC. She holds an MFA in Choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a B.A. in Dance from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
