Donation-Based classes at BAX Mondays 6:30pm-8pm September 17 - Nov 5, 2018 BAX | Brooklyn Arts Exchange, 421 Fifth Avenue, Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY 11215 Suggested donation $8 or Pay What You Can, all donations will go to the teacher of the day.
For eight weeks, twice a year, BAX | Brooklyn Arts Exchange provides a home for Dance To The People to curate donation based classes, inviting teachers who seek to develop a particular technique, or answer specific movement questions, hence making the learning space a collective laboratory.
This series is geared towards the professional development of dance teachers and as a means to offer affordable dance classes to a wide community of dance lovers and movers.
By offering a collective alternative in the exchange of knowledge in the dance/arts community, Dance to the People mirrors BAX’s commitment to challenge the manifestations of whiteness, able-bodiedness and privilege through anti-oppression, and pro-inclusion work.
